Finally again, most fans are likely to have thought: On Tuesday, the heads of the state and senate chancelleries of the federal states decided that professional football could again be played in front of spectators for the new season. The stadiums in the Bundesliga and 2nd league can be filled again up to 50 percent, but with a maximum of 25,000 spectators. The only exception: Bavaria is still stepping on the brakes because of the rampant Delta variant, initially only allowing 35 percent, capped at 20,000 people. In the Bundesliga, champions FC Bayern, FC Augsburg and promoted Greuther Fürth are concerned.
