Batik Air Managing Director Dies, Buried in TPU Selapajang

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The sad news comes from the Lion Air Group family. President Director of Batik Air Capt. Achmad Luthfie passed away on Saturday (23/1/2021), at 9:08 p.m. at a hospital in Tangerang, Banten.

“Batik Air (flight code ID) member of Lion Air Group conveyed the news of condolences for the passing (passed away) of the President Director of Batik Air, Capt. Achmad Luthfie, 23 January 2021, at 21.08 at a hospital in Tangerang,” said Corporate Communications Strategic of Batik Air, Danang Mandala Prihantoro, in an official statement.

“All the management, employees, crew of Batik Air and Lion Air Group conveyed their deepest condolences and always accompanied the best prayers to the late Capt. Achmad Luthfie,” said Danang.


He said, the late Capt. Achmad Luthfie is a friend, friend, relative and team of arms and one or an inseparable part of the Lion Air Group company’s journey since its establishment until now.

“Batik Air begs with all sincerity and kindness from all of us to pray for the best and forgive for all the mistakes and mistakes of the deceased. Lion Air Group will always remember you [almarhum Capt. Achmad Luthfie].”

Batik Air is a private Indonesian airline with full service services such as Garuda Indonesia. The Lion Group airline was founded in 2013 and made its first flight on Friday 3 May 2013 from Jakarta to Manado and Balikpapan.

Meanwhile, the late Achmad Lutfhie was the first co-pilot at Lion Air.

The body of the late Achmad Lutfhie is planned to be buried at the Selapajang TPU, Jalan Surya Dharma, Sunday (23/1). “Yes, it’s buried there,” said Danang when confirmed.
