Phoenix won 120-111 against Philadelphia in Saturday’s NBA game opener on Saturday, thanks in part to Devin Booker’s 36 points.

Phoenix strikes a big blow! The Suns signed a fifth straight victory this Saturday, and not against just anyone. It was indeed the leader of the Eastern Conference, Philadelphia, who fell in Arizona, by the score of 120-111. The meeting was hung for two and a half quarters, before finally switching to the side of the Suns, led by a phenomenal Devin Booker. The 76ers, only without Shake Milton for this meeting, led the score most often in the first half, but never by more than eight points. But it was the Suns who returned to the locker room by being in front of the scoreboard: 53-51. It was then impossible to know which way this meeting would lean. Phoenix took a five-point lead in the third quarter, then it was Philadelphia’s turn to lead by five points (67-72, 30th). The beginning of the end for Doc Rivers’ men.

Booker wore the Suns

Phoenix has indeed pressed on the accelerator, passing in front of the 32nd (76-79) to never let go of the controls. On the momentum of a 10-0, the Suns finally ended the third quarter by leading 86-81, and Philadelphia never managed to come back below five points. On the contrary, Phoenix widened the gap without trembling, and his lead reached +14, in the wake of an untenable Booker, who will finish with 36 points (14 of 23 on shots including 3/5 at 3pts), including 24 in the second half. With 18 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists, Chris Paul was also instrumental in this victory for the Suns. The 76ers dropped the deal in the money-time and Doc Rivers turned his workforce, only Vincent Poirier not entitled to a single second of playing time… Opposite, Joel Embiid also shone, with 35 points (12 of 23 on shots including 2/2 at 3pts), Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris adding 18 each. But the 76ers bench clearly brought nothing in this meeting, the best replacement, Tyrese Maxey, finishing with 6 points. With 18 wins for 9 losses, Philadelphia remains in the lead in the East, before the shock to Utah, leader in the West. Phoenix (16v-9 losses) is fourth in the West, before receiving Orlando.
