LISBON – Goalkeeper Bayern MunichManuel Neuer felt sorry for compatriot Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, who had to pick up the ball eight times when his team scored eight goals against Barcelona.
Bayern managed to beat Bacerlona by a score of 8-2 in the quarter-finals which took place at the Da Luz Stadium, Lisbon, Portugal on Saturday (15/8/2020) in the morning WIB.
Neuer in the match did not make much movement. This is inversely proportional to Ter Stegen, his teammate in the German National Team (Timnas), who had to struggle to block Bayern’s attack.
A statistical record launches the UEFA page that Bayern made 26 attempted kicks, 13 of which were aimed at Barcelona’s goal. While the Spanish giants, only attempted kick 7 times.

Neuer said it was not easy for Ter Stegen after being broken into by the opposing team eight times, although he stressed that the result had nothing to do with Stegen’s position in the German national team.
“I feel a little sorry for Marc. I know things like this are not easy for a goalkeeper, ” Neuer quoted Sky Sport as saying.
“But we play the Champions League and this has nothing to do with the national team.”
“Obviously it’s a good result for us, but you don’t want your national team-mates to have something like that,” added Neuer.
