Barcelona announced the shirt number of its new Brazilian player, Vitor Roque, who recently joined in the current winter Mercato, coming from the Brazilian club Paranaense.
The Brazilian talent joined the ranks of the Catalan club during the past few hours, and was presented to the club’s fans at Montjuïc Stadium.
The Catalan club said through its official social media accounts, “Vitor Roque will wear the number 19 shirt with the first team (despite not obtaining La Liga’s approval regarding his inclusion in the list).”

Roque is looking forward to following in the footsteps of Lionel Messi, the Barcelona legend, who wore the number 19 shirt for two seasons, before Ronaldinho’s departure, but he fears that it will be a “failed deal,” as is the case with Martin Braithwaite, for example.
Ivorian international Franck Kessie was the last to wear the number 19 with Barcelona before his departure in the summer of 2023, and he was preceded by Ferran Torres, Sergio Aguero and Martin Braithwaite in recent seasons.
