“Barcelona is capital and must continue to be”

The Equestrian Circle, of which Antonio Delgado is president, has continued its activity during these weeks. Online, for example, seminars have been organized in which the pandemic has been addressed, the new challenges that in very diverse fields will have to be faced in the postcovid stage.

How to deal with this crisis?

It is still early to know the effects of the crisis and its significance, but it is clear that many things will change. We will unlearn many and relearn others. For example, we all have had the obligation to transform ourselves digitally. Technology is here to stay.

We have done more than 30 webinars on Covid that have had a very good audience. We do not give opinion like other entities, but we are a platform for stimulating ideas, for debate. We have done it during these weeks and we will continue doing it.

Without giving an opinion?

During the crisis we have been able to reflect a bit on what we are. And our essence is that: a neutral environment. That facilitates the dialogue, the collaborative environment. We will work to build bridges between different opinions, debate rationally and try to draw conclusions for the future. We will continue to be a center for generating ideas.

Barcelona can have a very important role in the postcovid stage. Barcelona is the capital of many things, it has great potential. Historically, in every moment that society has had to undertake, Barcelona has been there. The moment of change is always good to start. Barcelona is capital and must continue to be one of many issues. It has to have a very important role in emerging from the crisis and in the future economy, in the new economy. Barcelona has everything to play a very important role.
