After an unofficial debut and the first victory of Robert Lewandowski in the colors FC Barcelonawhen they beat Real Madrid 1-0 at the weekend, the Polish team fans they were still waiting for the first goal of the captain of the Polish national team in the new club. Another chance for a debut hit appeared in the match against Juventus, in which both Lewandowski and the Polish goalkeeper of Turin, Wojciech Szczęsny, appeared in the basic lineups of their teams.

Bezbarwny Lewandowski, Dembele defeated Szczęsny twice
The beginning of the meeting belonged to Barcelona and Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker in the 7th minute technically hit from 20 meters above the Juventus goal, and a moment later Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also tried his luck from outside the penalty area, but also made a slight mistake.
After a good ten minutes to start, Barcelona’s game was completely dead in the following, and Juventus started to have more of the game. The most active in the offensive was the Juan Cuadrado-Angel duo Of Maria. It was the Argentine who also threatened Marc-Andre Ter Stegen’s goal the most. His flat shot from a distance the German goalkeeper managed to save it with confidence, and when Di Maria had the ball a few meters from the opponent’s goal shortly after, he skipped it badly.
When the referee ordered a fluid break after half an hour of play, the Barcelona coach Xavi had many comments about his team’s game. But he only awakened one of them – Ousmane Dembele. It was the French who opened the scoring in the 34th minute, making an action in the style of Leo Messi – passing Cuadrado on the right wing, driving Alex Sandro into the pitch in the penalty area and surprising Wojciech Szczęsny with a very strong strike.
Apart from Dembele’s individual performances, Barcelona’s performance in the first part of the game was completely off. Impatient Robert Lewandowski who didn’t get many peak, and also had a lot of problems winning duels with Bremer who hid him, he tried to go deeper for the ball, and also to the left wing. The Pole, like almost all of Barca’s starting eleven, had a worse performance than a few days earlier against Real.
This was not, of course, the case with Ousmane Dembele. Because although in the 38th minute Juventus led to a draw after a nice action by Juan Cuadrado, finished up close by Moise Kean, after a few dozen seconds Barcelona was again in the lead after another flash of their French winger. This time Dembele made fun of Cuadrado in the penalty area, then he passed Manuel Locatelli and with a shot “from behind the curtain” he defeated Wojciech Szczęsny for the second time in this match.
Szczęsny, who ended the first half, perfectly intervening in a one-on-one situation with Francek Kessie, did not come out for the second part of the meeting. Contrary to Robert Lewandowski, who got from Xavi a quarter of an hour after the break. He did not do wonders, however – he blocked a shot from a distance, and just before leaving the field, his head shot soared centimeters above the goal of Juventus. The captain of the Polish national team was changed in the 62nd minute by Memphis Depay.
It took place already at the 2: 2 draw, because Moise Kean scored the second goal for Juve, who used Manuel Locatelli’s assist and won the duel with Barcelona’s second goalkeeper – Inaki Pena.
In the 68th minute Juventus had a lot of luck when Barcelona’s players hit the crossbar of Mattia Perin’s goal twice within several seconds. First, Raphinha crashed into the frame from a free kick, and a moment later Ansu Fati’s technical blow hit almost the same spot. At the very end, Perin showed good interventions, bouncing the ball after the shot with Gavi’s heel and a situational blow from Depay.
Barcelona’s match with Juventus ended in a 2: 2 draw. The next, last friendly meeting of FC Barcelona during the US tour will take place on the night of Saturdays for Sunday. At 1:00 a.m. Polish time, Barca’s rival will be Patryk Klimala’s team – New York Red Bulls in New York. Three hours later, Juventus will face Real Madrid in Los Angeles.
