Barcelona achieved a 1-0 victory over Mallorca in the continuation LaLiga. This result brought Barcelona up to second place in the Spanish League standings, displacing Girona.

Barcelona only broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute. Lamine Yamal became the hero of Barcelona’s victory.
Having received an additional three points, Barcelona has now collected 61 points from 28 matches. Xavi Hernandez’s troops rose to second place Spanish League standingsovertaking Girona with a two-point lead.
Barcelona is also approaching Real Madrid at the top with 66 points. Los Blancos will only compete on Monday (11/3/2024) early morning WIB.
The Course of the Match
Barcelona claimed a penalty in the 20th minute after Raphinha was brought down by a Mallorca defender. The referee, who had ignored it, then checked the VAR.
The referee then changed his decision and pointed to the spot. Ilkay Gundogan stepped up as Barcelona’s penalty taker.
However, Gundogan failed to maximize it. Mallorca goalkeeper Pregrag Rajkovic predicted his shot and Lamine Yamal also failed to take advantage of the rebound.

Goal! Barcelona finally broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute. Receiving the ball on the edge of the penalty box, Yamal then checked Rodriguez and fired a curling shot with his left foot. The ball went to the top right corner of the goal and Rajkovic, who was out of step, couldn’t anticipate it.
