Barcelona can’t register new players like Sergio Aguero, Memphis Depay or Eric Garcia because the Catalan team has exceeded the salary limit in Spanish League.
La Liga’s maximum salary limit rules mean that Barcelona cannot register new players, according to reports in Spain Daily Mail.
Barcelona has exceeded the salary limit in the Spanish League so that new players such as Sergio Aguero, Memphis Depay, Emerson and Eric Garcia cannot be officially registered to La Liga, before the Blaugrana reduce the salary burden per season.
Now to reduce the salary burden, Barcelona must sell players, loan players, cut salaries, or terminate player contracts.
Players are now being pushed out with some selected for technical reasons and some for the sheer need to reduce the salary burden.
Junior Firpo is close to joining Premier League side Leeds United in a £13 million deal. The exit of the full-back will save Barca in the range of 8 million pounds per season.

Francisco Trincao has also been sent to England on a loan deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers who have an option to buy.
Then Konrad De La Fuente has been sold to Marseille, while Jean Claire Todibo has been bought by Nice after previously only on loan. The departure of both save the club’s finances around 9 million pounds per season.

Now three players who have high salaries, namely Samuel Umtiti, Philippe Coutinho and Miralem Pjanic, are reportedly being explored by Barcelona for release and are believed to be able to reduce the club’s salary burden of around 200 million pounds.
