FC Barcelona and Álvaro Sanz are now going their separate ways. The midfielder joins the Segunda División from the Catalans’ second-team squad.
The defensive midfielder, who has also featured as a right-back throughout his career, is now driving his development forward at CD Mirandes. His contract, originally dated until the end of the season, has been terminated.
Sanz has signed a contract with the Spanish second division club until June 30, 2025. The 21-year-old switched from Zaragoza to FC Barcelona’s youth department in 2015. He has been active for the Blaugrana second team since 2020. In the third division, Sanz played over 50 games for Barça Atletic and made four appearances for the pros.
