Bar Kirouac: 17 cases of COVID-19 among employees and customers | The Capital | News | The sun

Lhe Integrated University Health and Social Services Center (CIUSSS) of the Capitale-Nationale confirmed Sunday, at the end of the afternoon, the outbreak at the Kirouac bar. At the time of this writing, there were 17 positive cases of COVID-19 among the customers and employees of the Kirouac bar.

The Regional Public Health Directorate therefore recommends that all clients who have attended the establishment during the last week, that is between Sunday August 23 and Saturday August 29, undergo a preventive screening test, even if they have no symptoms.

Those concerned are invited to go to the screening clinic located in the parking lot of the Fleur de Lys shopping center.

In a communication sent to Soleil, the CIUSSS also indicates that “all positive cases as well as their contact cases are placed in isolation”.

“Total disinfection”

The owner of the bar on rue Kirouac announced the temporary suspension of his activities on his Facebook page on Saturday.

“Take note that the bar will be closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday because some of our customers have tested positive for the coronavirus”, can we read in the publication.

The three days of closure will be used to carry out a “total disinfection” of the premises.

“It is strongly recommended to go for the screening test. This way you will be reassured. Your health is important to us, ”the Kirouac bar addressed to its customers on the social network Facebook on Sunday.
