Head of Communicable Disease Control and Eradication (P2PM) Health Office Banyuwangi, Sudarto Setyo said, prevention efforts dengue fever The most effective method is by eradicating mosquito nests (PSN) because it can break the Aedes aegypti mosquito breeding chain.
“By cleaning puddles of water that can produce Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae disease dengue fever,” said Sudarto, Thursday, November 4, 2021.
Sudarto said that standing water that does not come into contact with the ground will become a breeding ground for the Aedes aegypti mosquito.
“That’s an indicator, usually if it rains sporadically it doesn’t continue like now. Hot rain, hot rain, will have an impact on the development of disease dengue,” he said.
In handling disease this, Health Office Banyuwangi have prepared a strategy. One of them is by promoting the PSN Snapping (Concurrent Movement for the Eradication of Mosquito Nests).
