“Banque des Territoires provides financial support to La Palanquée’s incubation program for social and sustainable projects”

The Banque des Territoires will provide financial support, to the tune of 40,000 euros, to the incubation program of La Palanquée, dedicated to project leaders.

The partnership has just been formalized. The Banque des Territoires will provide support of 40,000 euros to the incubates of the class of 2023 of La Palanquée, so that they can develop their entrepreneurial project. This financial aid is in addition to subsidies from the Territorial Food Project (18,000 euros this year) and from Sète Agglopôle.

Projects that are part of an ecological, social and solidarity approach

The 3rd edition of the incubation program of La Palanquée, a third place citizen of the Bassin de Thau, began last February. Ten project leaders wishing to create their business in the area were interviewed by a panel of local economic players. To be selected, a size criterion: that the project is part of an ecological, social or solidarity approach. For one year, the selected incubates will benefit from personalized and totally free support, in order to make their initiative a reality.

This year, the eligible themes have been expanded, “to encompass all the priority sectors defined by Sète Agglopôle”, specifies Odile Kirchner, president of La Palanquée. In the 2023 incubator, there are thus proposals relating to the cultural and artistic field, such as an immersive project aimed at raising awareness of ecology among the general public, or on sports and leisure.

“A justified commitment” according to the Banque des Territoires

“The social and solidarity economy is something very concrete, which justifies our commitment” says Caroline Cartallier, Deputy Regional Director Occitanie at the Banque des Territoires. According to the latter, the decision to provide financial support was also motivated by the tangibility of the projects: “They are professionals, who have real skills, and that reassures us to support them.”

For these young business creators, the incubation program is a real godsend. Amandore and Talib, both 26, are at the origin of “Sète à vous”, a direct producer-consumer sales project, aimed at promoting the gastronomy and crafts of the Thau Basin. “When you are a project leader, you often have your head in the handlebars. We had already launched the company before joining La Palanquée. This program has allowed us to review the basics, to build more solid foundations.”

Auriane was able to test her food coaching workshop at La Palanquée. “At the exit, about fifteen people filled out my contact form”. The first potential customers, and the feeling of being able to put “every chance on our side” she rejoices.
