Banking regulators put 51 European banks through their paces

Frankfurt – European banking regulator EBA will be examining a total of 51 major European banks in the coming months. It was the agency’s most stringent stress test to date, the EBA said on Friday. For the first time, the effects of a recession combined with long-lasting low or negative interest rates (“lower for longer”) would also be examined. The results should be published by the end of July.
