Bandai Namco Teases New Tekken Game During Esports Tournament – Gaming – News

Game publisher Bandai Namco has released a teaser for a new Tekken game. The company did so during the EVO 2022, an e-sports tournament that took place between 5 and 7 August. It is unknown when the new fighting game will be released.

Of teaser van Bandai Namco begins with an old scene from the first Tekken game, where Kazuya carries his father Heihachi to a cliff and throws it off. The pixelated video then cuts to a close-up of a photo-realistic Kazuya smiling at the camera as the phrase “get ready” pops up, suggesting the developer that a new Tekken title is in the works.

Further details about the next Tekken installment are yet to be announced. For example, it is not known what the game will be called, but it is presumably Tekken 8. Bandai Namco has not released a new game in the Tekken series for years. The most recent game in the franchise, Tekken 7, was released in 2015. Creator Katsuhiro Harada announced earlier this year that Tekken 7 is the best-selling game in the franchise, with nine million copies delivered. In total, more than 53 million Tekken games have been delivered.
