Nearly 300 businessmen from the department of Bolívar received loans in favorable conditions in the first quarter of the year for 73,000 million pesos from Bancóldex, 99% of them directed to MSMEs in 21 municipalities.
A good part of these resources, 94%, were delivered to businessmen from Cartagena where nearly 200 businessmen received disbursements for 69,391 million pesos and 99% of the recipients were also Mipymes, reported the president of the bank Javier Díaz Fajardo, visiting El Universal.
The disbursements made in Cartagena corresponded to eight lines of credit from Bancóldex’s financial portfolio. The lines that have supported businessmen the most were: Line of support for the liquidity of the business sector, with 36,454 million pesos. Business modernization, with 18,742 million pesos and liquidity to the business sector, with 6,363 million pesos

Díaz Fajardo recalled that this year Cartagena will host, for the first time in Latin America, the World Summit of Development Banks, from September 4 to 6, at the Cartagena de Indias Convention Center, hand in hand with the IDB and the Association Latin American Association of Financial Institutions for Development (Alide), with the support of the General Secretariat of the Common Finance Summit (FICS) and the Agence Française de Développement (AFD).
