The exclusion of over 60-year-olds is also inadmissible with immediate effect. If the donors are healthy, they can donate blood regardless of their age. The individual decision lies with the doctor.
The German Aidshilfe welcomes the new regulation and describes the initiative of the federal government as great progress. However, it is now a question of implementation.
