Jakarta

Chairman of the MPR RI and Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party, Bambang Soesatyo, expresses his condolences for the death of MPR/DPR RI member from the Golkar Party faction for the Electoral District of West Java V (Bogor Regency) Ichsan Firdaus. According to him, this young politician is a representative of the people who is hardworking, firm, and consistently fighting for the interests of the people.

Bamsoet revealed that Ichsan died in Yogyakarta while completing his Doctoral Program at Gadjah Mada University. He explained that Ichsan’s death was not only a loss for his family and constituents in his constituency. But it is also a loss for the big family of the Golkar Party, MPR RI, and DPR RI.

“God Almighty has His will, calling Ichsan at a relatively young age, which is 46 years old. May the deceased die in husnul khatimah. The wife and children left behind are given fortitude. Allahumaghfirlahu warhamhu waafihi wa fuanhu. Al Fatihah,” said Bamsoet in his statement, Sunday (27/3/2022).

Bamsoet revealed that he last met the deceased on March 23, 2022, in a meeting at the Black Stone office, Jakarta.

“We met from morning to evening. The meeting continued in the evening until 01.00 WIB in the morning at my house. Discussed various things about the potential for trading crypto assets, as well as the importance of Indonesia having clear regulations and legal umbrellas to develop crypto asset trading and digital trading in order to provide added economic value for the country through taxes,” he explained.

The 20th chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives and the former Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives in the field of Law, Human Rights, and Security explained that Ichsan was elected for the first time as people’s representative in the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2014-2019 period. At that time, the deceased was placed by the Golkar Party in Commission IV of the DPR RI in charge of Agriculture, Marine Affairs, Environment and Forestry.

According to Bamsoet, while carrying out this mandate, the deceased was known to consistently promote Indonesian agriculture and farmers. One of them is by increasing the distribution of agricultural equipment in the form of tractors and so on to farmers.

“Because of his consistency and hard work, it is not surprising that the deceased could be re-elected as people’s representative in the DPR RI for the 2019-2024 period, which was then placed by the Golkar Party in Commission VI in charge of Trade, SME Cooperatives, BUMN, Investment, and National Standardization. “said Bamsoet.

“Therefore, in addition to fighting for Indonesia to have a clear legal umbrella regarding crypto asset trading and digital trading, the deceased is also fighting for Indonesia to have a Crypto Exchange to oversee crypto asset trading while strengthening Indonesia’s position as the center of the world’s digital economy. In particular, for Asia and the region. Southeast Asia,” he concluded.
