Stuttgart – When it comes to the ranking of patent applications in Germany, the metal and electronics industry is right at the top of the podium. Patent activity is particularly lively in Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. This is the result of an unpublished study by the employer-related Institute of the German Economy (IW), which is available to our newspaper. Patent applications are one of the most important indicators for depicting a country’s innovative strength.
