Bad news if you don’t like the new version of Facebook: no looking back in September

Don’t you like Facebook’s new interface? So we are sorry for you because in September, it will no longer be possible to revert to the old version.

A few weeks ago, Facebook underwent a major facelift. Some love it, others hate it. And for the latter, the social network has bad news. As Engadget noted, the old version of Facebook will no longer be available from September 2020.

But right now it is always possible to switch back to the old version. How? ‘Or’ What? Just click on the little down arrow at the top right of the screen and then click on “Switch to the classic version of Facebook”. If you decide to do so, a message will appear telling you that “the classic Facebook experience will disappear in September”.

A half fig, half grape version

So sure, maybe you don’t like this new interface. However, we must still recognize that it offers a lot of interesting things. First, the presentation takes up all of the screen space, left to right, unlike the previous version. Consequences: everything is more readable and the publications appear more clearly on the screen.

Above all, the new version has the advantage of offering a dark theme, soothing to the eyes, especially in case of prolonged use. However, many users notice that this new version is sometimes slow, too slow. It is often necessary to close the window and then reopen it to resume having an acceptable browsing experience. Too bad especially that this version is supposed to be closer to the mobile equivalent of the social network which, for its part, is very well optimized.
