Bad news for the ‘Westworld’ lovers

The fourth season is again delayed due to a production stop.

HBO is hard at work on the fourth season of the great sci-fi drama series Westworld which kicked off so beautifully in 2016 with the well-received first season.

Now there is bad news for production. The recordings of Westworld were shut down after a positive PCR test on a crew member. It is yet another production that is temporarily put on hold.

Westworld temporarily on hold

The fourth season follows season three, which started in March 2020 with eight episodes. The average viewership per episode then dropped to under a million. Whether season four will appear in the spring of 2022 is still unclear.

It is striking that the Hollywood unions and the studios signed an agreement on safety protocols early this week. This stipulates, among other things, that producers can require cast and crew members to be vaccinated. This measure is temporary and will apply until at least September 30.
