Bad news: FIFA 21 won’t have crossover play

In the last few weeks there was a lot of news about what to expect in FIFA 21 and all of them were good. A better career mode, a more worked artificial intelligence, even a revamped Volta and even a free update for the new consoles, were some of the features that most excited the players. However, today we have to give the first negative news for what we will see in October.

Is that Electronics Arts was answering questions from users via Twitter and it was there that to the concern of one, answered that FIFA 21 will not have Crossplay or cross-play, not even on consoles of the same family.

What does that mean? That if you have the Playstation 4 version and a friend owns the Playstation 5, they won’t be able to face each other. The same will happen if you intend to play against people who have the Xbox one, Series X or PC edition.

It is undoubtedly bad news and it could even be considered a step backwards in an industry that is increasingly committed to gaming between generations and consoles. It will be necessary to see if in the future EA does something to change this or if it will remain immovable in its decision.
