PlayStation 5 is out of stock
First, Jim Ryan reports that everything has been sold. This obviously applies to the stocks that were built up for launch day, but stocks for subsequent deliveries are also sold out. So there is simply no more PlayStation 5 to be found in the Sony factories. It can therefore take months before the next batches are delivered.
Ryan reports that he is busy arranging production capacity, but that this is not easy. The restrictions by Corona do not help with that.
It will be years before PlayStation 5 makes the difference
In addition, Ryan expects the PS4 players to remain the largest group of customers for at least 3 years. This means that for the design of games, we are currently focusing on development that ensures that games can be played on both PS4 and PS5. In addition, he expects it will take developers until 2022 to produce games that will become true classics for the PS5 generation. Fortunately, he also has some good news in the interview. Although it is mainly PlayStation 5 in the media that the clock is striking, the sales of Xbox Series X are also going very fast. There is also a production problem that has more consequences than expected. It is said that the production backlog also lasts for months there.
Yet there is still a chance to quickly score your favorite console. A number of international retail chains such as Amazon, Walmart and Best Buy are said to sell some. However, you can forget about discounts and it is expected that those stocks will also be sold out within minutes. It is not yet known whether Dutch online stores will also unpack the PS5 or Xbox Series X on Black Friday.
Incidentally, also the customers who received a PlayStation 5 not always luck. However, for a number of problems are already bug fixes released.
