During a special conference entitled “Safe return to schools”, Minister of Education Dariusz Piontkowski admitted: – We assume that the school year traditionally begins on September 1 in schools. Then, in the following days, there will be classes in classrooms. To make this possible, we have developed detailed guidelines together with the GIS and the Ministry of Health. They are not a revolution, they were known before, they have only been modified. Guidelines will be sent to schools.

Is it possible not to let a child go to school on September 1, 2020?

Education Minister Dariusz Piontkowski said: – The parent is not an epidemiologist. We involved the Sanitary Inspection in the decision-making process regarding the functioning of schools. There are experts who will determine in which situations staying at school is safe and in which it is not. He thus addressed the parents’ fear of sending their children to school.

Schools should return to traditional teaching, and parents are obliged to ensure that their children fulfill their compulsory schooling or education obligation.

The Minister of National Education emphasized that “the Chief Sanitary Inspector clearly says that the epidemic situation does not force us to limit the functioning of all schools in Poland”.
