Bach Against the Machine: Dagamba and AI Bring Classical Music to Life in Mežaparks

This Saturday, June 3, the hooligans of classical music – the group “Dagamba” – will perform on the Mežaparka Grand Stage. They promise to show how artificial intelligence will bring Bach to life through music and technology in a grand open-air concert called Bach Against the Machine.

The group “Dagamba” has gained wide recognition for its musical experiments, creating a cross-genre music style where classical music, pop, rock, etc. come together. The group always surprises with its energy and creative solutions, and this concert will not be an exception. The full concert program of the band’s latest album “Bach Against the Machine” will be played in the more than two-hour-long sit-down concert, as well as the pieces already loved by the audience. The audience will also be offered an unusual stage scenography solution, the visual design of which will be complemented by video projections made by director Robert Rubin, which were created with the involvement of artificial intelligence.

Special guests will warm up the concert at 9 p.m. – double bass player Stanislavs Yudins and jazz singer Evilena Protektore will take the stage. The main culprits of the evening will start playing half an hour later. The organizers of the concert invite visitors to arrive early (as early as 7 p.m.) to avoid queues. Entrance to the concert will take place through gate 7.

“Bach in Mežapark – it’s like a dream come true! This is an important and very special concert for the group, because you can perform a solo concert in Mežapark for the first time only once. We can’t wait for Saturday to meet our listeners and celebrate this dream together!” says Valters Puce, the leader of the “Dagamba” group.
