JAKARTA – Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Handling Task Force Wiku Adisasmito stated that the Covid-19 variant B117 virus found in Indonesia had been resolved.
“The suspects have now recovered and are still being monitored by the regional health office,” said Wiku in Jakarta, Thursday (11/3). According to him, the government has also carried out tracing of people who are in close contact with the patient.
So that the Corona virus variant B117 does not enter Indonesia, the government ensures that the screening of Indonesian citizens who enter the country is carried out strictly. “Indonesian citizens who enter Indonesia must be quarantined for five days. This is an effort to ensure that new variants do not spread in Indonesia which will worsen the pandemic situation, ”he explained.
The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) previously stated that four patients with confirmed variant B117 did not experience symptoms of serious illness. Currently everything is cured.(rh / fin)
