Islamabad: Pakistani Lieutenant General Azim Munir is the new Pakistani army chief. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appointed Asim Muneer as head of Pakistan’s army, the information technology minister announced on Twitter.
Azim Munir will succeed General Qamar Javed Baja, who will step down later this month after six years of service.
