Ayguesvives. Rugby League: schoolgirls in gold

Two teams from the college of Ayguesvives were in the running for the French rugby league championships in Tarbes last month. The boys, coached by the Colombier-Janzac duo, took a fine fifth place. And the girls, trained by J.Chesneau and S.Vuillon won the final brilliantly.

The game of sportswomen, seen by their coaches:

Elise Crepeau : master of the team with a great maturity in the game which allows him to organize the collective as well as possible.

Alice Follet : she sets the pace of the match and often unblocks situations with her dazzling inspirations.

Melissa and Estrella Maillard : we can “go to war” with these twins who are not afraid of anything, Estrella distinguishing herself by a defense at all times, Melissa by always unpredictable races.

Celia Mechi : very good finisher, never failing.

Cecile Fourcade : little experience but has understood everything about the game, she always plays well around her.

Oceane Bigot : a rare sense of sacrifice, never gives up and reassures the team with his determination.

Pascale Guisse : very difficult to stop when launched!

which of Rossi : very hard on impact, whether in attack or defense where it seems impassable in one against one.

Clemence Laurens : plays fair, very effective ball in hand.

Ines Mazingant : races that hurt opponents

Manon Ratel : extraordinary warrior, always involved in matches as if her life depended on it.

Charlotte Canac : exceptional races and a very effective instinctive game.

For the coach, it’s “a group of formidable efficiency, with no weak points. Next meeting, France rugby 7 in Thionville”!
