LINZ. The Linz author and cultural worker Kurt Mitterndorfer invites again this year to the writing workshop in Greece. After a corona-related break, this time it’s time to go to the island of Karpathos from July 13th to July 20th or 27th.

Together with the Ruefa travel agency, which has been supporting me with travel-related matters for years, I will again fly to the Dodecanese island with people who are willing to write, and seduce them there with various methods, “announced the Linz author and cultural worker Kurt Mitterndorfer . He is a member of the Graz Authors’ Assembly and has published various books such as “My Greece / I Ellada Mou”.
From group discussions to individual text work
In the summer writing workshop on Karpathos, what is seen, heard and felt is converted into texts, but also learned how different types of text can be used depending on the situation and how the written can be presented appropriately. The workshop is divided into two parts: group discussions in the morning and individual text work with Mitterndorfer in the evening. In between there is time for creative writing in places of your choice. For example, impressions, experiences, thoughts and feelings should be mastered with daily writing tasks in the sense of a literary travel diary. Content for new texts would include observing situations, listening to conversations and detecting moods.
The writing workshop will be held from July 13th to 20th, after which an individual extension until July 27th is possible. The price per person for one week in Studio Gliko Oniro (double occupancy) in Lefkos is 1,190 euros. This includes the costs for the course and the flight from Vienna or Linz as well as travel insurance including cancellation protection. You have to pay extra for meals. The additional week costs 130 euros per person.
