“Boy From Murcia” is the latest single from the upcoming album “Lighter” by the Austrian singer Baiba.
Baiba (she uses the stylized name BAIBAs on stage) is a Latvian musician who currently lives in Innsbruck, Austria. In 2017, she released her debut album “These Storms”, which was made in collaboration with Austrian producer Kristof Holckneht (he is known by the stage name CHRS). Recently, Baiba has started a career as a solo artist and producer, increasingly moving away from the sweet-faced image of a singer-musician and looking for new ways to experiment with electronic pop music. Currently, Baiba has completed work on his second album “Lighter” and with the help of crowd funding has raised funds for its release.
According to the musician, the new song “Lighter” reflects summer memories of a time when we could still travel freely and heal our tired souls on the shores of a distant, exotic beach: “The song is about those little stops – the little loves on our way. The moments when we enjoy the time we spend together, learn from each other and at the same time get to know ourselves better. ” Baiba co-produced the song with Tyrolean producer Benjamin Laingartner, and co-produced the video with Spanish artist Rock Domingo.
