A high school teacher in Graz, Austria is suspected of paying his underage students money for nude photos. With this accusation, the students turned to a tutor. The prosecutor is investigating.
In the Austrian city of Graz, a high school teacher is said to have paid his students for nude photos, according to Austrian media. The Kronenzeitung reported the case for the first time, the Graz prosecutor’s office confirmed the investigation against the teacher for suspected possession of child pornography material. In doing so, he followed the instructions of the Styrian Education Directorate. The school principal had filed a complaint against the teacher.
Suspicious case in Austria: Students contacted a tutor
Several underage male students had previously told their guidance counselor that they sent photos of themselves naked to the religion teacher via the Snapchat social media app. The teacher paid them for it. Photos only last a few seconds on Snapchat before deleting.
According to the media, it is still unclear how many students could be affected. Data carriers seized during a search in the teacher’s house last week are being examined. The teacher has been suspended, but the presumption of innocence holds true.
