Australia: Passengers disembark after Covid outbreak detected in Coral Geographer

A luxury cruise ship unloaded passengers infected with Covid 19 in Australia, after an outbreak during a voyage in the Kimberley region. The Coral Geographer ship Coral Expeditionsanchored in the Darwin Harbor early this Tuesday, May 2 with 74 passengers and 38 crew members on board.

According to him Northern Territory Health Service, 17 of those passengers had contracted the disease on the $1,000-a-night cruise ship that left Broome, Western Australia, 10 days ago.

The operator of the 93-meter-long ship reported that the infected passengers had been isolated on board as required by local law. According to Coral Expeditions, the company had safely operated more than 100 itineraries during the Covid crisis without incident.
