Aurora Gude out of “Farmen kendis”: – Couldn’t have been that much worse

CHALLENGERS: Aurora Gude and Jan Tore Kjær.

The TV pageant veteran is frustrated at losing to middle-aged men. And has been afraid for half a year to tell about an episode of poo on TV.

– The worst that could happen did happen, says Aurora Gude (30) from Nøtterøy to VG.

Gude emerges as a challenger in “Farmen kjendis” in today’s episode, in favor of ice hockey veteran Jan Tore Kjær (54).

– So, firstly, I pooped on myself, and secondly, I smoked. And third, I turned 30 the day after I smoked. So it’s kind of like that, it couldn’t be that much worse.

The defecation problem is possibly not something that many people would tell about, as Gude does on TV 2’s popular programme.

– I’ve been dreading it for half a year, so to speak.

– You haven’t asked TV 2 to remove it?

– No, because I am very concerned about being genuine. So I thought, you know what? I will try to stand in it. And then I thought, it’s entertaining. If I can only see it that way, then I should be able to live with it.
I was sent the clip, it was very, very funny. So now it’s going well.

– Horrible

She did not take losing to Jan Tore Kjær lightly during the recording.

– It was absolutely horrible. And for me, this was very much about expectation, she explains.

– Because when I was going to take part in it, the goal was to get a full experience of it. I really wanted to be a part of it. So it was sort of like that, not getting that experience, because no one is there more than once. And I really wanted the full package if I was going to join.

HORSE GIRL: Aurora Gude says that she got in good contact with the horses on the farm.

Gude had therefore preferred to be a regular participant, not a challenger.

– Yes, I also asked if there was an alternative, but there wasn’t. So I felt I just had to take the chance I got, then.

She describes moving out after a week’s stay as “really crazy”.

– I was very happy with everyone. They made me feel so welcome. After all, I had horse responsibility and had found my place. So it was very sad. I have very strong emotions outside of my body and quickly connect with people.

– He is old

In the programme, she reaches out to middle-aged men with knowledge, and expresses that she “wishes it was enough to just be a genuine and real person”.

In the competition against Kjær, she is confronted with certain expressions that are probably more natural for a 54-year-old than for a 30-year-old to know.

– It is perhaps a bit of a bad loser to say that, but I think it was a bit unfair, because he is old and loves to stand in the kitchen, and he has grown up with those words and expressions. Counter me, so I was at a direct disadvantage.

– What kind of questions or tasks would you think would be fairer to you, then?

– So, I thought, let’s have an obstacle course. Pure physical trials. Gender neutral, more physical and tough. In a contest with horses I had beaten him.

God sighs.

– If you watch “Camp Kulinaris”, it was an old man who beat me at the finish line. The same in “24-star Christmas calendar”. So, I often get beaten by them then.

She emphasizes that there is also a bit of humility in the criticism she puts forward.

– Because they are older, they know more, they know more. That’s how it is. And I feel it’s always what gets me down, almost.

Want to make TV

The reason why Gude says “always” is that she has gradually built up a fairly solid TV CV.

In 2014, she won “Paradise Hotel”. Since then, she has appeared in “Charterfeber”, “Paradise Auditions”, “71 degrees north”, “Camp Culinaris” and “24-star Christmas calendar”.

Has it become a kind of lifestyle or career path for her?

– That has been the case in recent years. It’s nothing to hide, that. And I think it’s insanely fun, because I get to go on an adventure at least once a year. Not everyone can live like that.

The dream now is to make something of your own on TV.

– Something that is not like we are going to drive and rush out and compete. I really want to be able to make something myself eventually. Possibly be a program manager. So I have a dream in this. That’s what I want, then, you can’t just be on reality shows for the rest of your life.

– No, right?

– Yes, then, maybe I’ll be the one to do it!

– What do you work on and make a living from now?

– It is a little different. That’s obviously what TV is. And then I have podcast, and then I do influencer stuff. And then there are some things you just get paid to attend, here and there. So it’s very fluctuating. And then I work a bit at a fitness centre, because I found out that I have to see people. After all, I work from home so much, and the days can be very … boring.

– Is that why you want to take part in so many TV competitions, you get out and meet people?

– Yes, that is part of it. I really like those bubbles. I love people. So I’m really enjoying myself, no matter if I’m dirty or tired, I’m having so much fun. I somehow manage to stand in it and feel that I am at the core of myself.

And soon Aurora Gude will have a new TV scalp under her belt: As a result of “Farmen”, it carries on to “Torpet” for her.
