The gendarmes of the Thionville company engaged significant human resources this Sunday, September 19 in the Rochonvillers sector in order to get their hands on several individuals suspected of car theft.
At the start of the morning, a couple living in Audun-le-Tiche reported the disappearance of their vehicle. Apparently, the keys were stolen inside the house, while the occupants were sleeping. Shortly afterwards, the same car was found in an accident on the D14, in the Havange sector. Obviously, the thugs fled on foot, across fields, towards the woods of Rochonvillers. It is in this sector of the Pays-Haut that the gendarmes come to crisscross the land at the end of the morning. A roadblock is temporarily installed, a dog is requisitioned, the helicopter is called. Despite the device, the suspects have vanished into the wild. They are still actively sought after.
