A minor modernization for the 2022 model year mainly offers new sports packages, but the A1 model also saw a slight increase in performance.

In one press release, the carmaker Audi served us a decent modernization of the A1, A4, A5, Q7 and Q8 models, which should get a sportier look with the new model year. However, the smallest of the modernized cars also had a slight increase in performance.
The Audi A1 Sportback 40 TFSI for the 2022 model year will now offer the highest output of 152 kW (207 hp) and 320 Nm of torque, which means a 5 kW increase in power. In addition, the A1 Sportback with 40 TFSI, 35 TFSI and 30 TFSI engines offers the optional S line competition package and red stitching of the steering wheel, carpets, gear lever, handbrake or armrest.
As part of the S line competition package, the A1 Sportback will receive, for example, a matte black radiator grille, dark logos of four circles at the front and rear, black sill extensions or a black lacquered roof in Mythos Black. The front and rear LED headlights are also slightly dimmed.

Exclusively for the 40 TFSI engines with the S line competition package, Audi offers the blue Ascari paintwork, which adds gray-painted mirrors, gray front bumper accessories, a gray rear diffuser or a black-painted Mythos roof spoiler to the black accessories already mentioned. In addition, new 18 “wheels should appear in the menu.
For the larger A4 and A5 models, the carmaker has prepared new S line competition and S line competition plus packages since May, thanks to which the elegance and sportiness of both cars should stand out even more.
The S line competition package for the Audi A4 was created by combining the S line and black packages. The novelty will offer a number of black-painted accessories, including the brand’s logo, the Singleframe radiator grille, a spoiler taken from the S4 model, etc. In addition, 19 “alloy wheels will be housed in the undercarriages. The S line competition plus package then includes LED headlights, ambient lighting, black mirrors or illuminated front sills. Models with an output of more than 150 kW will also receive red brakes.

The S line competition package for the Audi A5 will include, for example, 20 “wheels or black-painted exterior accessories, including a spoiler or radiator grille. With the competition plus package, the A5 also receives LED matrix headlights, black mirrors, ambient lighting or red brake calipers for motors with an output of over 150 kW. The range of colors for the A5 Coupé is complemented by a black lacquered roof.
For the largest Audi Q7 and Q7 models, the carmaker has prepared the S line competition plus package, which in both SUVs brings, for example, a black-painted Singleframe mask, including black-painted circles in the carmaker’s emblem and other markings. In addition, both models receive carbon mirror covers or carbon door decors to emphasize the sportiness.
Both SUVs will basically stand on 21 “wheels, the Q7 will optionally offer 22” rims, while the Q8 will offer 23 “rims. In addition, both models receive red brake calipers and both welcome the driver with an LED projector with the S logo of the models. In addition, the interior can be complemented by decorative red stitching in combination with carbon decors.
