On Tuesday, October 24, 2023, the Giza Sports Club Hall, extending under Abbas Bridge on Al-Bahr Al-Azam Street in Giza, will witness an exceptional event in the world of auctions. Exactly at 12 noon, the auction session will begin, and this time 32 cars of various brands, models and types will be displayed.
These cars came from outside the country and were surrendered or confiscated by the customs authority. They were stored in the car customs yard at Cairo International Airport. Among these cars, you will find famous brands such as Mercedes, Volvo, BMW, Volkswagen, Range Rover, Toyota Corolla, RAV, Camry, Prado, Nissan Murano, Hummer, Nissan Pickup, Hyundai Microbus, Chevrolet Lumina, Mazda, and Dodge Charger.
If you would like to participate in this auction, you must purchase the special conditions booklet worth 400 Egyptian pounds, and you can do so at the headquarters of the General Authority for Government Services in Dokki. To inspect cars, you can go to the car customs areas at Cairo International Airport during official working days from 9 am to 2 pm, and this can be done until the day of the auction.
If you are participating in the auction as a private person, you must present a valid national ID card. While merchants must provide a tax card. You also have the right to bring other people with experience in inspecting cars during the inspection process.
The cars will be sold in accordance with the provisions of the law regulating contracts concluded by public bodies, and without paying any commission. Anyone wishing to participate in the auction must purchase the conditions booklet and pay a security deposit amounting to 10,000 pounds to enter the auction. This deposit can be paid either at the Cairo Airport Vehicle Customs Treasury during or before the auction. Insurance is deducted from the price of the car if it is subscribed.
