Attack in Veracruz was for floor charging

Two seafood restaurants were set on fire in the municipalities of Tres Valles and Cosamaloapan, in the border areas with Oaxaca.

XALAPA.

Witnesses say that the attack on Friday against two seafood restaurants in Veracruz was derived because the owners refused to pay the floor.

The events occurred last Friday, when caravan gunmen broke into two seafood restaurants, which burned down, in the municipalities of Tres Valles and Cosamaloapan, in the border areas with the state of Oaxaca.

It is worth mentioning that one day before, the governors of Veracruz and Oaxaca, Cuitláhuac García and Alejandro Murat, respectively, signed an agreement to strengthen security and create an interstate research group in that border region.

On Friday night, around 9:30 p.m., residents of the Cuenca region indicated that there were bullets in the Santa Cruz community, municipality of Cosamaloapan, which is located on the section of the Cosamaloapan-Tres Valles highway.

Later they went to the municipality of Tres Valles, where there was also another seafood restaurant that was also burned.

Both businesses belong to a family whose patriarch was killed in 2010.

Although it is mentioned that in none of the two fires were injured, the preliminary report last Friday indicated that there were four homicides and four kidnappings, in the latter case they were people who were in one of the businesses. However, the authorities have not ruled on the facts.
