The management of the Spanish club Atletico Madrid confirmed that it has not received an official offer from the Saudi negotiating team to include French star Antoine Griezmann, the first-team football player, during the next winter market.
The transfer window in Saudi Arabia opens on the first of next January and continues until its end.
Juan Jose Garcia, the official spokesman for the Spanish club, told Al-Riyadiya in exclusive statements: “We have not received official letters to begin negotiations on the sale of the French star’s contract to Saudi Arabia, and the possibility of his departure at this time is very difficult.”
Jose Felix, editor-in-chief of the Spanish newspaper “Marca”, confirmed in media statements during the past hours that Griezmann had received a Saudi offer to join the Roshen League in the coming period.
He added: “Griezmann’s contract continues with us until 2026, and the player is currently living happy moments, and I confirm that there is no information regarding negotiations about his future.”
It is noteworthy that the French star succeeded in winning the award for the best decisive player in the Spanish Premier League for the 2022-2023 season, after scoring many decisive and influential goals with the Atletico Madrid team during the past season.
