ATK Mohan Bagan returns to winning ways after a hiatus in the Indian Super League. The Kolkata giants thrashed FC Goa 1-0 in a thrilling match. This time too, Roy Krishna’s goal gave ATK Mohan Bagan the victory.

In the 23rd minute, David Williamson was also shown a yellow card by Kolkata. In the 39th minute, Williams’ long ranger Govan crashed into the box but bounced off the post. The first half ended in a goalless draw.

There was no significant change in the pace of the game in the second half. ATK Mohan Bagan missed a free kick in the 53rd minute. However, ATK Mohan Bagan scored the winning goal in the 85th minute. Roy Krishna, who was jumping into the box, was fouled by Goan player Dohling from behind and the referee awarded a penalty in favor of ATK. Roy Krishna did not miss a single kick.

This is Roy Krishna’s sixth goal of the season. With the win, ATK Mohan Bagan was able to catch up with top-ranked Mumbai. But Mumbai are ahead of the Kolkata giants in goal average.
