Before the last Serie A matchday, the race for second place in the table is more open than ever. Atalanta and Inter brought explosive power to the three-way battle with Lazio on Tuesday evening.

Atalanta Bergamo can continue to hope for the best placement in club history in Serie A. The unbeaten team from Bergamo, which is also represented in the Champions League, won at the start of the 37th round at Parma after half-time deficit 2-1 and still has chances for second place. Ruslan Malinovsky and Alejandro Gomez turned the game around with their goals in the 70th and 84th minute. It was Atalanta’s league goals 97 and 98 of the season.

Atalanta’s opponents on the last matchday next Saturday are called Inter. There is a big showdown for the top spots. The Milan team won 2-0 in an entertaining top game against Napoli. Danilo D’Ambrosio (11th) brought the Nerazzurri into the lead early on, while the last-weak Lautaro Martinez (74th) made everything clear in the second round when he grabbed the ball in the middle of the field and Napoli goalkeeper Meret with a full Ranged shot gave up.
Inter still holds second place, followed by Atalanta with one point behind, ahead of Lazio (one game less) with four points less. Juventus is at the top of the ranking, that has had the championship title firmly in their pockets since Sunday.
