They are terrifying images, those that come from the border between Mexico and the United States, at the port of entry of San Ysidro.
As proposed by various online media, a speeding car was filmed last Tuesday crashing into a metal barrier placed to delimit the borders of the two states.
The driver of the Hyundai (disintegrated in the impact) died instantly: it is a 27-year-old Californian who was trying to reach the United States via a lane closed to traffic.
It remains unknown whether the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The images are even more dramatic because you can see the moment when the car hits two street vendors on the Mexican side of the port: a 49-year-old disabled woman (who was in a wheelchair, then died in hospital) and a man aged 70, who suffered minor injuries.
