At Coursan college, awareness of the various forms of discrimination

The six Mailheuls grade 3 classes participated in a rich exchange with Ms. El Kahaza, lawyer, ethno-psychoanalyst reservist from National Education.

The 3rd year classes at Les Mailheuls college were made aware, in turn, recently, of the fight against racism, anti-Semitism and anti-LGBT hatred as part of the national week of education and action against discrimination, an operation led by the National Education in connection with the Dilcrah, interministerial delegation.

It may seem futile or unnecessary for some, but it is in reality fundamental, in order to live better together and have the sensitive intelligence of the other, to see everything else. In turn, the six classes of third, followed one another, for an hour, to participate in an interactive and participatory exchange with the speaker Ms. El Kahaza, jurist, and ethno-psychoanalyst reservist of the National Education, as explained to us the principal Carole Hasslauer : “ Students are made aware of stereotypes, prejudices, racism and discrimination whether against girls or boys. The 24 identified discriminations are exposed to them and the speaker asks questions to the students and makes them react, after presenting the big names of personalities who have worked in this direction. : Ghandi, Rosa Park, Linda Brown, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Malcom X, Barack Obama and many others “.

The students appreciated being able to intervene and ask questions and above all to be made aware of aspects they had not necessarily thought of and of their own prejudices and received ideas.
