ASUS announced that the Zenbook DUO (UX8406) 2024 will be coming to Indonesia soon. This laptop, which has two touchscreen displays, is specifically designed to maximize user productivity, providing flexibility for various usage scenarios.
Unlike the previous generation which only provided a second screen half the size of the main screen, the ASUS Zenbook DUO (UX8406) now has two full screens. The screen measures 14 inches using an ASUS Lumina OLED 3K (2880 x 1800) 120Hz panel.
So not only does it offer the flexibility of two screens, the latest Zenbook DUO also offers the best visual quality, plus a brightness level of up to 500 nits, a 16:1 aspect ratio, and an ultra-thin bezel with a screen-to-body ratio of 91%. Both screens are touchscreen and support ASUS Pen 2.0 style.
Five Usage Modes
It is not surprising that the Zenbook DUO (UX8406) is claimed to be able to provide high flexibility for its users, because the laptop has five usage scenario modes.
The first is of course Laptop Mode with keyboard and mouse, Laptop Mode + Virtual Keyboard, Dual Screen Mode + Keyboard, Desktop Mode with two large vertical screens, and Sharing Mode which will display the same display on both screens.
ASUS also equips it with ScreenExpert software which allows users to use various gestures to display the virtual keyboard, change screen modes, and run many applications with one touch. All of this can be done without the help of a mouse or touchpad.
ASUS Zenbook DUO High-end Specifications
Zenbook DUO (UX8406) is equipped with powerful specifications to support even heavy work. The processor uses an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H which of course has an Intel AI Boost NPU, while for graphics it is equipped with the latest Intel Arc iGPU. 16GB LPDDR5X RAM capacity and 1TB SSD storage.
What is surprising is that the weight of this dual-screen laptop is still very light at 1.35 kg with a thinness of 14.6mm. However, the available ports are complete with 2x Thunderbolt 4 USB-C, 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, 3.5mm audio jack, and even a standard HDMI 2.1 port. Meanwhile, the battery has a capacity of 75Wh.
Pre-Orders Are Now Open
Confirmed to be coming to Indonesia in early March 2024, ASUS has opened pre-orders for the Zenbook DUO (UX8406) exclusively on two ASUS online sales channels, namely the ASUS Online Store from 21 February – 6 March 2024 and e-commerce via Blibli starting 1 – 6 March 2024.
