KOMPAS.com – After various rumors circulating in cyberspace, cell phones gaming Asus ROG Phone 5 finally officially introduced. There are three models released, namely the regular version of the ROG Phone 5, ROG Phone 5 Pro, and ROG Phone 5 Ultimate.
These three phones have similarities in the specifications they carry. However, all three have different RAM and storage configurations.
The regular Asus ROG Phone 5
The regular Asus ROG Phone 5 comes with three RAM and storage configuration options. Asus calls it versions A, B, and C.
The regular Asus ROG Phone 5 version A is equipped with two choices of RAM, namely 12 GB and 16 GB, and a choice of storage capacity, namely 256 GB.
While the regular Asus ROG Phone 5 version B is equipped with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage capacity. There are no other options for this version.
While the regular Asus ROG Phone 5 version C is equipped with two choices of RAM, namely 8 GB and 12 GB, and two storage capacity options, 128 GB and 256 GB.
As the lowest variant, the ROG Phone 5 has a back design that features the classic ROG logo which is almost the same as the ROG Phone 5 Pro model.

Asus ROG Phone 5 Pro
The Pro version of the Asus ROG Phone 5 launches with only one choice of RAM and storage configurations, namely 16 GB / 512 GB. Screen size and chipset-it’s the same as the regular version of ROG Phone 5.
The back design of the Asus ROG Phone 5 Pro is different from the regular version. In terms of appearance, the three of them have a back which is equipped with backlit lights that display the distinctive ROG logo.
Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate
Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate is the highest model for the cellphone family gaming this. Asus provides the largest RAM capacity, which is 18 GB. The RAM is accompanied by 512 GB of storage.
Specifications of all three models
The Asus ROG Phone lineup carries a 6.78-inch OLED screen (2,448 x 1,080 pixels) complete with Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
The screen supports refresh rates of up to 144 Hz, 24.3 ms touch latency, and 300 Hz touch sampling. Compared to its predecessor, the screen size of the Asus ROG Phone 5 series is more spacious. The bezel is claimed to be 25 percent thinner.
Asus claims to have brought a number of improvements to the kitchen sector of the ROG Phone 5 series. This can be seen from the type chipset carried, namely Snapdragon 888.
Although classified as a cellphone gaming, Asus has embedded a camera with a large resolution for this ROG Phone 5 series.
On the front, there is a 24 MP selfie camera (f / 2.45). The three variants of this cellphone are also compact with a rear camera consisting of a 64 MP main camera (f / 1.8), a camera ultrawide 13 MP (f / 2.4), and a 5 MP (f / 2.0) macro camera.
To support gaming needs, the three variants of ROG Phone 5 are supported by a battery with a capacity of 6,000 mAh which is already supported fast charging up to 65 Watts.

Uniquely, the Asus battery ROG phone 5 this divides into two cell. This allows Asus to place parts motherboard closer to the center of the phone.

The Asus ROG Phone 5 series runs the 11 operating system and the typical ROG Phone interface, namely the ROG UI.
Price and Availability
Asus announced that the “regular” ROG Phone 5 will be released this March. Following that, the ROG Phone 5 Pro, which reportedly will also launch in March. While the Asus ROG Phone Ultimate will be sold on a limited basis starting next May.

Note that the “regular” ROG Phone 5 will come with a bonus Aero case and HyperCharger. Especially for ROG Phone 5 and Pro buyers, they will get additional benefits from the Aero Cooler 5 accessory.
