Asus has presented two new ProArt monitors for professional use. The PA32UCX-P and PA27UCX are 4k monitors with miniled panels and support for multiple hdr standards. It is not yet known what the screens cost.
The PA32UCX-P shows many similarities with the current one PA32UCX. Asus does introduce so-called ‘off-axis contrast optimization’ in the PA32UCX-P, also known as oco. This should provide better contrast and improved color reproduction at sharper viewing angles. Current ProArt screens do not have this.

The screen has a 10bit panel of the ips type capable of displaying 99 percent of the dci-p3 color space, as well as 99.5 percent of the Adobe RGB spectrum, 89 percent of Rec. 2020 and 100 percent of the srgb and Show Rec 709 color spectra The PA32UCX-P features a DisplayPort 1.2 connector, three HDMI 2.0b ports and two Thunderbolt 3 connectors, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB hub with three connections.
The Asus PA27UCX
The PA27UCX is completely new. The product has a 27 “ips panel with a 4k resolution, although this screen has 576 dimming zones. Therefore, the peak brightness is also lower, at 1000cd / m². Also the coverage of the different color spectra is slightly different. display 97 percent of the dci-p3 color space and 83 percent of the Rec. 2020 color spectrum. The coverage of Adobe rgb, srgb and Rec. 709 remains the same. Asus also equips the 27 “model with oco. The screen has a DisplayPort 1.2 connector, two HDMI 2.0b connections and a USB-C port. Furthermore, the monitor has four USB 3.0 connections, type A.
Both screens also support various HDR standards, including HDR10, Dolby Vision and Hybrid Log Gamma. Furthermore, both screens are calibrated for a deviation of less than 1 Delta E when displaying srgb and Adobe rgb. The screens both have a refresh rate of 60Hz with support for Adaptive Sync. Asus is not yet mentioning the recommended prices of the two monitors.
