Asturias exempts families receiving the social wage from paying EBAU fees | BE Gijón | Today for Today Gijón

The University Counseling will take care of cost of the registration in the EBAU of the families than perceive he social salary basic. The resolution, published in the Official Gazette of the Principality (Bopa), seeks that no one is left out of these exams for financial reasons. The Government of Asturias justifies this measure given the exceptional situation created by COVID-19, which has revealed situations of economic vulnerability in families with minors pending completion of the EBAU. This exemption is apply already in the announcement which will start in Asturias next week and will also extend to the tests of 2021.

In the event that the tests have already been paid, refund may be requested of the amount to the University, proving the condition of beneficiary of the social salary. The minimum cost of the fees is 115 euros: 60 for registration, 40 for the access phase and 15 per subject in the admission phase.

He Government of Asturias will compensate to academic institution he cost of the enrollment of the students who take advantage of this exemption.
