(CRHoy.com) The AstraZeneca vaccine will begin to be placed in the arms of Costa Ricans from next week, as indicated by the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS).
Despite this announcement, the institution still not clear on the exact start date and does not disclose the procedure to be followed in the application of said doses.
“Vaccination with AstraZeneca is scheduled to start next week and in accordance with established regulations. On Monday we will be delivering the details of the process ”wrote the CCSS.
CRHoy.com consulted with the Ministry of Health, which indicated that it had not yet begun with the placement of this vaccine by the update of procedures, which is the responsibility of the CCSS.
“Procedures are carried out prior to its distribution, such as updating the Procedures Manual for the execution of vaccination with said drug,” indicated the Ministry of Health.
Before the consultation with the CCSS about said update, there are still no answers and it is unknown what the process the institution will follow will be like, even though the National Commission of Vaccination and Epidemiology (CNVE) it already issued its technical criteria more than a week ago.
