This final match of the 2021-2022 season, which will pit two historic French football clubs against each other, will be refereed by Antony Gautier. He will be assisted by Guillaume Debart and Gwenaël Pasqualotti. The federal authorities have also appointed the former professional player, Jérémy Stinat as a substitute referee. As for the VAR, it was entrusted to Éric Wattellier as well as Dominique Julien.

He also officiated during the derby in Décines which saw Lyon win thanks to a penalty converted by Moussa Dembélé (1-0). During this game, Lucas Gourna-Douath, Mahdi Camara, Zaydou Youssouf and Sada Thioub received a yellow card.
During the current exercise, he refereed eighteen Ligue 1 Uber Eats matches during which he handed out 49 warnings and excluded three players, Rennais Loïc Badé in Angers, Bordeaux Danylo Ignatenko in Reims and Messin Boubacar Traoré in Parc princes.
All in all fairly balanced, his record with the Greens stands at five victories (including the famous 100th Derby won at the Gerland stadium in 2010), eleven shared points and eight losses.
