Bisnis.com, JAKARTA – Coal, has so far become one of the main targets for stopping consumption in the energy transition trend by various countries in the world. However, it seems that it is not easy to really reduce consumption of these mining commodities.

It is not surprising that optimism is still maintained among coal entrepreneurs regarding maintained consumption of this commodity in the next few years. In this case, coal still has the opportunity to become an important energy source as part of the energy mix in the next few decades. Especially in Asia.

One of the ways this can be seen is through analysis from Reuters columnist, namely Clyde Russell. In his opinion entitled “Asia’s coal sector sees long, prosperous life despite energy transition”, he highlighted the bullish narrative that emerged from coal industry players at the Coaltrans Asia 2023 conference which was held last week in Bali.
