The matches follow one another and are similar for Nancy. If we must distinguish the last two releases, marked by copies that are a bit more accomplished than the previous ones (not difficult at the same time given the football gruel offered at Nimes , Orléans or GOAL ), the result is the same on arrival. Namely the rout.
The people of Nancy still display the same face of a team which is floundering and cannot see the end of the tunnel. The first period delivered on Friday in Bouches-du-Rhône saw them being more impactful and enterprising with ammunition finally released… Except that in the end there was not the slightest shot on target, as Benoît Pedretti rightly noted after the match: “We could have scored and we didn’t do it. Away, you don’t have to have 20 chances to score.”
Lack of control weighs down everything
Faced with this inefficiency which overwhelms the members of the offensive sector of the Reds and Whites, we then rely on the good old slogan which wants us to try not to lose if we cannot win. The end of matches is always there to catch up with the Nancy players and their obvious lack of control.
Like these inconsiderate mistakes by Koto Camara and Lucas Pellegrini, perhaps difficult to swallow when we know that Nancy suffered similar ones which did not lead to the same consequences, but it remains none the less that they come to destroy all the efforts previously made. With the goal conceded in stoppage time last week against Sochaux these signs do not bode well.
“Win two matches out of the next three”
The ASNL no longer knows how to maintain a result and time does not help matters. This endless drift brings the Thistle club a little closer to the bottom of the ranking, the Spinal neighbors having returned to within a stone’s throw thanks to their two consecutive victories. All this is chilling.
The gap in the ranking with the other galley slaves is, of course, not yet established, but the urgency is there. This anemic total of 11 points will absolutely have to be inflated during the last three outings of the year.
“We will have to win two matches out of the three,” believes the Nancy coach. There will be two matches at home (Caen and Avranches), with a trip to Le Mans in between. The road map is drawn and we must not deviate from it this time.
